NUGEN Audio creates innovative, intuitive professional audio tools for high-end music producers, post-production engineers and broadcasters. We picked four plug-ins that give you an idea of the functionality and quality of their mixing and mastering software.
SEQ-S, a spline based parametric EQ, Stereoizer, stereo image enhancement, Monofilter, roots the bass solidly within your mix and ISL2, a transparent look-ahead limiter.
In this Video Jerry gives us a taste of these four NUGEN Audio plugins using Ableton Live.
SEQ-S
SEQ-S gives you powerful sonic sculpting and EQ matching up to 7.1, with stereo mid-side operation and automated spectrum analysis. Massage and correct any audio with incredible resolution that you just can’t get with a traditional parametric interface.
A direct-draw interface and detailed spectrum analysis make it easy to quickly identify and specifically fine-tune your audio. Couple this with EQ matching via sonic fingerprinting and you have some unique possibilities.
Stereoizer
Stereoizer offers you the full range of stereo image enhancement, from gentle width adjustments to huge dynamic ambiences that transform the soundstage. With visual audio analysis feedback and a clear, logical control layout, Stereoizer is satisfying to use and gives great results with the minimum of effort.
Monofilter
Monofilter grabs hold of your bass and roots it solidly within your mix. With its intuitive controls you can quickly anchor the power, while retaining the essential character and perceived spatial characteristics of the original sound.
ISL2
ISL is a transparent look-ahead limiter designed to allow you to get on with creative audio production while it takes care of true-peak compliance for you.
ISL uses the standardised true-peak algorithms of ITU-R B.S. 1770 and related standards (including Apple ‘afclip’ true-peak detection), and is suitable for the control of audio for Post Production and Broadcast applications. True-peak limiting can also be used to ensure that down-stream Codecs (mp3, AAC etc.) do not introduce distortion into the signal.
