This landmark instrument exceeded the boundaries and architecture of hardware samplers in the 1990s. Three 128mb E-Mu Emulator IVs were slaved together to realize the original design dream.

After detailed analysis of every component, samples were then recorded at multiple velocities enabling you to play delicate classical, soft mellow jazz to the hardest of rock cutting through the rudest stack of amps. Q Up Arts was the first developer to offer a sampled grand with all the realism and emotional expressivity of a genuine grand piano. The first version slaved 3 E-Mu Emulator IVs together to realize the design. We invented a proprietary approach to sampling called Virtual Model Sampling (VMS) which puts controllable piano components: note on/offs, pedal and hammer sounds plus sympathetic un-dampened strings into your hands.
